This fine porcelain art mug features a Raven motif designed by Coast Tsimshian artist Connie Dickens from the Lax Kw'alaams tribe. The Raven can be found in the beautiful rainforests of coastal British Columbia, and it is featured in the Tsimshian legend of Raven (Txa'msem) and the Sun. Txa'msem stole the sun from the Chief above the hole in the sky and came back down, releasing the sun and gifting the world with light. 

In Northwest Coast Indigenous cultures, the Raven symbolizes creation, creativity and knowledge.
