Chris Paul was born near Brentwood Bay, BC, to a family entrenched in a culture rich with stories and traditions. His artistic career began in 1995 when he apprenticed with Floyd Joseph. He has also apprenticed with Roy Henry Vickers, which led to a lifelong friendship between the two.
Paul draws artistic inspiration from his life experiences, creating works that reflect his sense of self and heritage. Mixing traditional and contemporary Indigenous design, he uses strong modern colours to embody the spirit of his culture.
