Travis Henry is a Cowichan, Coast Salish artist born in 1967 in Cowichan, British Columbia on Vancouver Island. As a member of the Cowichan Nation Coast Salish people, his work reflects the Kwakwaka'wakw style. Travis' family crest is the Sun. He was trained by the Seaweed family, who are well-known and respected carvers from Alert Bay on Cormorant Island.
His gold and sterling silver carved jewellery can be found in collections in Japan, the United States, Europe, Australia, and his native Canada.
Travis currently lives in Langford, British Columbia with his young family.
