This elegant business card holder is hand carved, by Corey Moraes (Tsimshian), in a box design featuring a human and using oxidization to create contrast and heighten details in the carving.

Born in Seattle, Washington, Corey Moraes belongs to the Lax Kwa’Laams Band of the Tsimshian Nation. An entirely self-taught artist, Corey began studying Northwest Coast art in 1997. Since then, he has developed his style through extensive research in books, galleries and museums, and currently creates a wide range of artwork, including jewelry, prints, drums, masks and wood sculptures. Corey’s work can be found in many publications, museums, galleries and private collections across the world.
