Designed by Tsimshian artist and MOA Shop featured artist, Morgan Asoyuf, this t-shirt is a visual reminder that all children have rights, deserve to be loved, and that Every Child Matters. 

The annual Orange Shirt Day takes place on September 30th and has opened the door to global conversations and opportunities for meaningful discussions about the effects and legacy Residential Schools. You can show solidarity and raise awareness all year long with orange shirts that honour the children who did not make it home from Canada’s Indian Residential Schools.

All net proceeds from the MOA Shop sales of the t-shirt will be donated to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society, as well the supplier Native Northwest is donating their proceeds to the Orange Shirt Society and the BC Aboriginal Child Care Association.

Throughout her artistic career, Morgan has apprenticed with Haida artist Richard Adkins, Tsm’syen artist Henry Green and studied under German goldsmith Gerold Mueller at the Vancouver Metal Art School. She works in jewellery design, carving, illustration and fashion, and she is driven to pursue the art form as both a purist and lover of experimental technique.
