This cedar wood pendant features a hummingbird design by Kwakwakaʼwakw artist and MOA Shop featured artist Lou-Ann Neel, who has worked in wood, jewelry design and graphic design throughout her decades-long career. Her work is greatly influenced by her grandmother, Ellen Neel (Ka’kasolas), and her great-grandfather, Charlie James (Yakuglas). Currently residing in Victoria, BC, Neel works both as a multidisciplinary artist and as a repatriation specialist.
Hummingbirds are a symbol of intelligence, love and harmony.
