This plaque depicts a Raven crest by Kwakwaka'wakw and Tlingit artist Corrine Hunt. This design celebrates Raven's playfulness. He is a trickster and represents creation and knowledge. The rectangular cedar plaque is laser-cut with a Raven design and inlaid with abalone.

Nugwam Gelatleg'lees, Corrine Hunt was born in Alert Bay, BC, in 1959. She has been incorporating traditional themes and designs in her contemporary artwork since 1985. Her works are celebrated worldwide and include wood carving, jewelry making, sculpture,  fashion, furniture design and more. In 2010, Hunt co-designed the Vancouver Olympic and Paralympic Medals. In 2011, she received the National Aboriginal Achievement Award in 2011 for her artistic contributions and for serving as a role model to Indigenous youth.
