Benjamin Chee Chee was an Ojibwa artist born in Temagami, Ontario. Chee Chee was largely a self-taught artist. Although inspired by the Woodlands-style art movement, Chee Chee developed his own unique style of painting that was quite unlike other painters of his generation. His distinctive work now inspires new generations of young artists.
