Trickster Basketball
Crystal Worl
Whether you’re playing indoors or outdoors, these Trickster Company basketballs are crafted for durability and style. Trickster Company is dedicated to incorporating Indigenous culture and art into everyday items, creating meaningful connections through design. Basketball, a beloved sport among many Indigenous youth, serves as a perfect outlet for this mission.
These basketballs are designed by Kaakeeyáa—Crystal Worl, a Tlingit Athabascan artist from Raven moiety, Sockeye Clan, based in Juneau, Alaska, and co-founder of Trickster Company.
Available in three designs:
Sitka Kooch'éit'aa (blue and red design)
Inspired by the breathtaking blue and red basketball court Crystal Worl designed in collaboration with Project Backboard, the Sitka Kooch'éit'aa basketball celebrates the vibrant renovation at Crescent Harbor Park in Sitka, Alaska.
One on One Adult (black and white design)
The 1:1 basketball reflects the balance of Tlingit culture and Haida society, structured around two kinship groups, or moieties: Raven and Eagle. These moieties represent balance, as Ravens and Eagles traditionally married one another, each group supports the other through times of celebration and grief. This design symbolizes unity, resilience, and the cultural values that have sustained generations.
Eagle Sunrise (red, orange, yellow design)
The Eagle Sunrise basketball is a vibrant tribute to Tlingit culture. This limited-edition design highlights the beauty of Northwest Coast art featuring bold red, orange and yellow hues.
