Available in two designs:
Sasquatch
This reusable produce bag, in green and brown tones, showcases the Sasquatch designed by Francis Horne, Sr.
"Our art retells our ancestors' stories about our connection to the land that we have respectfully lived on for thousands of years. The Sasquatch is a mystical figure that hides in the forests and mountains. For generations, our people have shared stories about their encounters with Sasquatches."
Francis Horne is a largely self-taught artist who gained much of his knowledge from his elders, particularly Chief Simon Charlie. He comes from a family of talented carvers, including his brothers Aubrey, Doug, Howard, and Perry LaFortune. With 25 years of carving experience, Horne specializes in large house poles, masks, limited edition prints and later expanded to include silver jewelry. His work is rooted in the traditional Northern style. Today, his art is featured in public and private collections worldwide.
Orca Family
Featuring blue tones, this reusable produce bag showcases an Orca Family designed by Paul Windsor.
"I was raised in a way of life based on hunting, fishing, feasting, singing, dancing and visual arts. Art has always been an expression of the spirit that connects people and their way of life. The Orca Family represents connection and strength."
Paul Windsor was born and raised in Kitimat, BC, and currently resides in Vancouver. He began drawing as a young child, and is an ancestral designer who comes from a family of artists. Paul also has a large interest in music and a love for the planet. His paintings, typically on the mediums of paper and wood, frequently feature positive imagery depicting the natural world. Paul’s artistic motivation stems from a drive to bring people together from different generations from his culture.
