Handwoven Batik Scarves
Batik fabric is a highly accomplished art form originating from Java and Bali of Indonesia. Identifiable motifs, patterns, and colours were developed and designed to identify one’s family, social status and/or geographic origin. The word Batik seems to come from the Indonesian word 'ambatik', which is a cloth weaved together with a little dotted pattern.
Designed in harmonious hues of teal and royal blue, and reddish-orange and purple hues, these batik silk scarves look great together or worn on their own. Handwoven on a traditional loom by Thai women artisans, each scarf features a slightly different motif, each handcrafted with batik dyeing methods.
Available in two individually unique colour palettes; blues, and reds.
- 15" L x 67" W
- Fringe: 2.4" L
- 100% batik cotton from silk
- Dry clean only
- Hand-crafted item: colour and motif may vary slightly
- Made in Thailand
