This bold Split Raven pendant features an original design by the late Kwakwaka’wakw artist Ellen Neel. The pendant was crafted by her grandson, Travis Neel, who digitally rendered and laser cut the design, thoughtfully including his grandmother's signature on the back of each piece. Ellen Neel's great-grandson, Edwin Neel, was also involved in the final jewellery production. 

Partial proceeds from the sale of Split Raven merchandise go toward the endowment fund for the Ellen Neel and Beau Dick Award in Art History, Visual Art & Theory. This award recognizes Indigenous students within the UBC Department of Art History, Visual Art & Theory who embody the community spirit exemplified by Ellen Neel and Beau Dick.
