Maynard Johnny Jr. born in Campbell River, BC, in 1973, is of Coast Salish descent on his father’s side, and Kwakwaka’wakw descent on his mother’s side. At the early age of six, Maynard began drawing portraits of his family and replicating comics. By the age of seventeen, he began to explore Northwest Coast Native design and continues to this day.
Born in Duncan B.C. and now resides in the Stó:lō Territory. Her designs are in the West Coast Salish style and incorporate such mediums as pencil, painting and carving. Simone is a self-taught artist that has a strong family history of influential West Coast Salish artists.
